Seattle Credit Union and the SeattleCU Foundation are proud to invest in community-led efforts to drive impact and prosperity across our footprint. We believe that all individuals deserve the opportunity and the resources to take care of their financial health.

Through a collaborative approach, we aim to increase financial access, promote financial education, help increase communities’ earning power, and strengthen communities' overall financial health.

Funding Eligibility

  1. Align with Seattle Credit Union’s funding priorities or SeattleCU Foundation’s strategic giving pillars.
  2. All requests should be made at least 60 days prior to the event or given deadline.
  3. Responses can be expected within 30 days from the time the application was submitted.
  4. Upload the organization's W-9 and completed ACH form in the online application.
  5. Our charitable giving is generally directed to institutions that are recognized by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a charitable organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code. Seattle Credit Union & SeattleCU Foundation reserve the right to determine and amend which organizations are eligible to receive charitable support. Organizations must comply with the USA Patriot Act. Seattle Credit Union & SeattleCU Foundation does not contribute to organizations in which religious practice is required for selection and/or receipt of charitable services.
  6. Organizations seeking charitable support from Seattle Credit Union & SeattleCU Foundation must certify that their charitable and/or educational programs and services are offered to all intended beneficiaries  without discrimination on the basis of race, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age, religion, physical or mental disability, medical condition, veteran status, marital status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information or any other classification protected by applicable local, state, or federal laws.
